He takes up the position during the month of November.

During his years at Borealis, Christer Svanberg has held a number of leading positions in research and application development. In addition, Christer Svanberg has worked in academia. He has a doctorate in materials science and worked as an assistant professor at Chalmers University of Technology.

“We have proven time after time that we can develop differentiated technology and have always had a strong development organization. With this recruitment, we will further strengthen the R&D function. Christer Svanberg will also be able to contribute with lots of experience and strong leadership for the development operations”, says Johan Arvidsson CEO at Nexam Chemical and continues:

“Christer Svanberg’s first task will be to complete and get our own innovation centre up and running. The plastics industry is facing a major change in the form of recycling becoming increasingly important. Christer Svanberg will lead us technically in this change. We welcome Christer Svanberg to the Nexam family”

“After many years in academia and large companies, I look forward with eager curiosity to continue working with development in a successful innovation company. It is very exciting to be able to see results from development efforts quickly and to participate actively in the commercialization work.” says Christer Svanberg.

Christer Svanberg will replace current CTO Francesco Pisciotti, who chose to continue his career outside Nexam Chemical.
