02/21/2017

An article in Compounding World’s February issue describes how Nexam Chemical’s products can modify polyamides.

The article “Additives lift PA to new levels” describes how additives can increase the polyamides potential even further. The additives can improve the polyamides process ability and performance in this very versatile plastic. In the article, Nexam Chemicals CMO, Lars Öhrn describes how the company’s NEXAMITE®-technology can modify the polyamide in three different ways – chain extension, chain branching and crosslinking. The technology enables improvements in polyamide properties such as viscosity, melt strength and mechanical performance, which some graphs in the article gives examples of.
